Changing how the world trades

“It is a privilege to be associated with such a prestigious and historical company and to be part of their enterprising new flagship store in Conduit Street, London W1,”

Since its creation in 1600 by The Royal Charter, granted by Queen Elizabeth I, the influence of The East India Company changed the world and how it traded. At one point it had the largest merchant navy in the world and controlled 50% of world trade.

Offset Print & Packaging has been entrusted with producing the attractively designed packaging for the East India Company’s tea, coffee and chocolate products.

Freshly Packed by Hand

Selling world-wide, East India wanted a special new box construction that would effectively be a flip top carton holding 10 envelopes of tea.

While the 10-packs are hand packed, the 20s (although the same material) are machine packed on an Italian IMA machine – taking blank cartons, filling the envelope with the tea and placing them in the individual boxes. The tea is kept perfectly fresh through cellophane wrapping and a security tear strip.

truly professional
